When To Apply For Study In Canada

Canada Intakes
There are 3 intakes in Canada:
- Fall intake – This is the primary intake period to study in Canada. Most students keep this intake as the first priority, and it starts in September.
- Winter intake – This is the secondary intake period. It’s preferred by students who don’t wish to opt for the fall intake and starts in January.
- Summer intake – This is the lesser-known intake period but has its own benefits. It starts in the May.

Tests Required
To study in Canada, you must pass any of these English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS: IELTS is trusted by 11,000+ universities worldwide, making it one of the most widely accepted English language proficiency tests. To get into a good Canadian university, you need a minimum of 6.0 bands average IELTS score.
- PTE: PTE stands for Pearson Test of English (PTE). It’s a fully automated test. To get into a good Canadian university, a minimum of PTE 60 is required.

When applying for a university, you are required to submit a few documents in the process. Find the document checklist below:
